Ron in another thread you spoke of the shows. My question is how does one go about finding out when and where shows are in their own particular area?
I've tried before to find out and wasn't able to achieve any satisfaction to to my question.
Thanks

Re: Shows! This for Ron!
Try calling your states MH association. There is a list of them at: www.mobilehomedoctor.com/associations.htm. Also, call a local MH dealer in your area and ask about MH shows. There are regional shows in different parts of the country. The Southeast show is usually run in Nashville TN though not every year. I hope this helps, if not, e mail me and I will see what I can find out.

The Manufactured Housing Institute maintains a partial listing on line. At http://www.manufacturedhousing.org/CE_trade_shows.html you can find a listing of MH TRADE SHOWS.

Thanks David, I'll go check that site.
Seems to me that dealers etc, are rather close mouthed about when and where shows are because it seems to me that "they" don't want "us" (prospective buyers) at the shows etc. Are shows mostly dealers?

Re: Shows! This for Ron!
Charlotte,
The shows I have been too have been focused on the consumer. I have attended shows in Nashville TN, Asheville NC, and Columbia SC. They are great for people who are considering owning a MH. They are usually advertised heavily in the areas where the show will be, in other words, on a local basis. That is why you have to track the shows with the site David mentioned and/or follow the contacts I mentioned.
Regards,
Ron
