Where do YOU go--if you live in a manufactured home community, and the meteorologist says, "If you're in a mobile home, evacuate and take shelter elsewhere."
I don't go anywhere, because I have nowhere TO go!
I guess if it were daytime, I could toss my two cats into their carriers (that sounds easy, but of course, it wouldn't be!), we'd all get in the car, and drive in the opposite direction of whatever was coming. But at night?
Please let me know. I'm trying to sell my home, because it just seems like the weather here gets more tornadic every year, but what if I don't sell it?
Where do YOU go?
Re: Where do YOU go?
Hey Rita - here's a hint - go to a dealer in your area and ask how much tornado shelters are. They are buried in the ground and are cast concrete. I would also suggest maybe trading in your home on a modular with a basement. Just a couple of thoughts. There are also web sites that have info on these shelters, etc. Check with your community and see if they will allow one to be installed on your lot. God bless!
