The Manufactured Housing Forums

First we considered a true log home, but that may be cost prohibitive. Now we are considering a manufactured home (or similar) with log siding. Just wondering if anyone on this forum has had experience with this type construction. What problems would be encounterd? How about depreciation, etc?

Karsten homes has a log sided home, I know nothing about it though, only that it exists. I would think that there is an awfully lot of maintainence and/or upkeep on that type of siding etc. For that reason I would stay away for it for myself, but please don't let me discourage you from what you want..
