Squeaks can come after a home settles. And stick houses can develop cracks, fissures and doors that are no longer level or close properly after they settle. All homes settle. Have your piers checked if you are on a pier system. If you are not level, you can develope a squeak. Your being out of level is much easier to fix than a stick house!
Enjoy!

I have had my 2000 ft modular home for just one year and the floor has been squeaking all over especially under the carpet upstairs and down. Just had a state inspector in who has confirmed it is the decking and floor joists. The particle board is just over 1/2 inch but the latest contractor has said trying to bridge the two floors will not only be difficult but may not take. This is one of many issues with the modular. Any suggestions.
