Fuqua/Silvercrest/Fleetwood

I'm pretty new to this forum but have read mostly on Palm Harbor, and others. But I would like infomration on a dealer called Fuqua. They are mentioned in the book by John Grissim but they are not listed as one of the top 25. He speaks kindly of them and I have viewd some of their models online and was sent a brochure.

How is their product as compared with the more popular and well known Fleetwood and Silvercrest?

Does anyone out there own a Fuqua home?

Fuqua's a manufacturer. Their quality (on the West Coast) seems quite good, but they offer lots of expensive eye candy. I like Silvercrest, Karsten, and Palm Harbor, personally. I'm less impressed with Fleetwood.
(I own a Karsten in the Pacific NW).

Fuqua has been in business for over 35 years and does have a good reputation. As a Fuqua dealer on the West Coast I am very happy with their quality and commitment to service which helps me be successful and makes my customers happy. As for the "eye candy", Fuqua is known for its architectural compatibility with site built homes, Energy Star rating and is more than competitive price wise in my area. Having said that, I would say that the dealer and installation are even more important to your building experience. So shop just as hard (or harder) for the part that most people gloss over- the people you will be dealing with not only for the sale, but the installation and service.

Thak you all, as for the installation, how long does it generally take for Fuqua to start the installations process? Also we are in Riverside County and the closet dealer that we can find is in Bakersfield. Would taht be a problem with warranty services, etc? We have small children and it would be difficult to have to relocate it something went wrong with our home. How is Fuqua on their warranty services? Is there a per call fee that some others charge? What about Silvercrest do they charge a fee for service calls? How long are the warranties generally?

Thank you for your time.
