Question about our lender

I have a question?

When we moved our house onto a permanent foundation on a Residential lot 4 years ago, the lender that we actually did the closing with (local) sold our loan to an out-of-state lender. We've been trying to refinance and when we called the lender we have now, they said that they can not refinance our loan because they don't even do loans on Manufactured home, so my husband asked why they took the loan to begin with and the person said "I don't know, it must have been slid through"?

Is there anything we can do about this? I'm in the process of contacting Fannie Mae and my husband thinks we should get a lawyer.

Thanks

Why would you need an attorney.???.What would you want him to do???Mortgage lenders are never obligated to refi any mortgage...FANNIE MAE has changed its underwriting rules in the last few years...You might want to shop for other lenders and refi with a 1st mortgage..there by paying off the current lender and depriving them of a good customer....Rates have risen in the last few weeks...If you have a very low rate..it could be they are trying to get you mad enough to pay them off..Visit the lending section of this web site and request free quotes...

Good luck...

Hi. Many lenders sell the loans to other banks that buy them on the secondary market. I can help you refinance the loan...I work with a couple of banks that finance manufactured homes. Give me a call 916.933.5464.
