I'm thinking of buying a Marlett 4 years old from a friend. There are large settlement cracks. Is it difficult to get the comapany to come and fix them? We are on the California border. The manufacurer is in Oregon. If I bought it as is, would I have trouble getting them to come and fix it as a new owner?

You are past warranty. Most likely they will not and you will have to find someone else to fix it. Good luck. Usually only the novices or others with a bad rap will take a job like that. Most want to do the bigger jobs, like roof leaks or plumbing repairs.

Original factory warranies are not transferable from the original owner...This is true os all manufacturers...
