Taxes on MH sales

Anybody familiar with federal sales tax on MHs (as personal property)? There will likely be Calif. state sales tax. Thank you.

There is no federal tax on the home..your price will include a fee for the HUD seals..but there is no other federal tax..The only sales taxes are state and local...Of course there will be a local permit fee ( a tax in most folks mind) and in some areas there is also a creature the locals coll an impact tax...Check with your local building inspector about these..if any..

Why do I have to pay full sales tax if purchased thru a Broker? If I buy from an owner (a resale) they can use a bill of sale for things like carports, furniture, and Florida rooms that I don't pay tax on. Why is this? I am not being asked to pay impact! This is a resale! You must not have read my post...and building inspectors can give no answers! Only the tax collector! Again, Why do I have to pay full sales tax if purchased thru a Broker?
