What is the latest greeatest manufactured home?

Post by Eric Thomas » Fri Nov 30, 2001 10:28 pm

I.ve been looking at manufactured homes to put on my ranch for over a year. I s there any thing bigger and/or better than the Sivercrest Manor 15? At 3000 sf it's the biggest I've found. Has any one produced one larger or with higher ceilings or with a more unique design?
Thank You!

Eric, Take a look at the Oakcreek Homes, They have some of the best floor plans. They have been reshaping their company and isn't cutting corner's like they have been doing in the past. If you want the biggest home take a look at their 36x80 feet long double wide, that's two 18x80 wide floor's combined together. I've seen it and it's a big sucker. Totally tape and textured, foundation ready prep, 12" overhangs, and many options to list. Take a look at it on www.oak-creek-homes.com click on the texas 36' wide and you have 3 floorpland to look at. This home being transported over the interstate take's just about both of the highway and the margin. Just imagine.

In California, the Silvercrest is probably the biggest plan out of the box. Fuqua has a 2600 sq.ft. that can be customized on site to get over 3000 sq.ft- just like you order a home with a garage dormer you can order these with dormer openings that will then join onto a site built room addition. Also I think you'll find the price cheaper for the Fuqua and way better insulated. BTW, I am a Fuqua and Silvercrest dealer. My website is www.coastalhomesolutions.com.

Hi

My husband and I were thinking of buying a Redman Mobile Home for about $25,000. I was wondering if anyone can tell me if they are well built.

Today I was on the web and was looking up articles on mobile homes and came across an article on problems with mobile homes. The article stated that a lot of mobile homes have leaky roofs and other problems. Is this so and are they easily fixed.

Thanks

Mobile Home Parks near Chicago

Post by Nancy Davidson » Wed Dec 19, 2001 5:53 pm

Hi
Just another question? Is there anybody on this list that lives in a mobile home park near Chicago? My husband and I were looking at Smith's Mobile Home Park in Blue Island, Illinois and it seemed nice.

If anybody on this list has any info. on this park or any other park near Chicago, please post it or e-mail me.

Thanks.

Hi Nancy, Ask Smith's to show info on MHE, Inc homes( www.mheinc.com ). They are an MHE dealer. Another dealer with info on parks in the Chicago area is A-1 homes. Their # is 847-336-9099.

If Champion has bought Redman I would want to wait and see their product. Redman used to make one of the better median to top-of-the-line homes. But, Champion, in my opinion, built one of the less expensive, bottom-of-the-line homes. Hopefully, Redman will maintain their quality, but I would have to see for myself. I know when I worked on a Champion I had less to work with than most of the other homes, except mayby a Liberty. In the midwest I thought American Home Star was one of the best if you bought it from the right factory, they have two.
