We are having Vinyl Siding System (Max Weatherbeater) by Sears. We are also considering a sunroom to be installed. We were asked a questioned that I was unable to answer. They asked about the wall studs and how they were placed. I tried looking up the company that built our home but they've been out of business. Do you have any information about our home. We love our home.

What they want to know is the spacing between studs. Usually this is 16", but pre-1976, this could be different. You should be able to determine this by using a studfinder - it might take some time - however it would be cheaper than paying them to do it.
