I bought a Marlett "Lincoln" home 2 years ago. With the exception of crack at the corners of the wall and ceiling the house has settled ok. Has anyone experienced any problems with Marlett Homes?
Only drawback so far is the high maintenance fee ($475)
I need some feedback.

We bought a Marlette in 2002. We've had problems... dealership and poor workmanship...unlike our 1997 Marlette. They used to be top of the line, then Schult bought them out. I just called them about a problem and found that Oakwood made ours in 2002 and I found they've since went bankrupt. Getting anything out of them will be a problem. They gave me an address to write to....yeah right. I'll hold my breath.
Here are some of our problems: BAD drywalling, forgot options then complained about adding them, had to go to the state to repair drywalling, we stretched ours so everything is off, nothing is centered, moulding is mismatched everywhere, star cracks in garden tub that have resurfaced after them telling us that resurfacing the tub will fix them better than before (of course they refused to remove the tub), crooked walls and windows, the drawer fronts have fallen off, the cabinet hinges are stripped...used wrong screws bad transport company...dealer bragged how good and cheap they were...tore a huge hole in our floor and took down phone lines, all around poor quality. We spent over $20,000 in options. Had I known Marlette sold to Oakwood at the time, I'd have never bought the house, since my opinion of Oakwood is poor.
Our first one was excellent which is why we bought another. ARGH!

We just bought a Marlette home built in 1992 - nice home, made very well, however there is a problem with some of the windows. Condensation between the panes. I am trying to find what brand of windows was installed when this home was built. I am told by the original owner, who we bought the home from that it was Apline windows. Anyone out there know for sure?

I'm thinking of buying a Marlett home from a friend. It has a large settlement crack in the ceiling. Is it hard to get the comapny to come in a fix it? Company is in Oregon. We are in California. Mt. Shasta.
