Loud Blower Noise!!!

In a recently purchased 2005 modle 16x80 mobile home, equipped with a Miller M1S oil gun furnace with central a/c I'm having trouble getting use to the loud noise of the units blower. Is there anything I can do? The furnace unit is in a closet in the hall way. There is a door on the closet but it has cut out openings with grills on the top and bottom of the door. I assume this is to allow the air return to the unit.

An attributing problem is the furnace unit is located right outside of the master bedroom. Can I add insulation inside of the closet to help muffle the sound-- or would this cause a fire hazard? This is a retirement home - purchased in downsizing from a large house where the mechanicals were in the basement and Quiet! Maybe it is something I will just have to get use to hearing- but it's hard to sleep with the noise of the blower. Otherwise I love my new home. Any suggestions?

This is a common problem with some miller furnaces.
Check to make sure that the blower moter is properly installed under all 4 retaining flanges inside the furnace, Take off the cover and you can see them pretty easy.
Outside of that, I would not be afraid to insulate the partition wall.
