Hi There,
I own a lot in a 55 plus park in Southern California. The home is fairly old, a 1969. I am considering moving a newer unit on to the property. I've found one at what I believe is a good price, a 1999 for 40,000. I need help and or referals for a reliable mover. Also, any information on related expenses. Lastly is there any market for the older unit. Thanks in advance for all advice.
Cost to move home in California & advice on moving
Re: Cost to move home in California & advice on moving
Leslie,
I'm a mobile home dealer in Souther California, so I'm pretty familiar with costs, values, etc. As far as the 1999 you want to move onto your property, you will have additional costs for the set-up of the home. One thing you need to be made aware of is the new requirement of "crowning the lot" before you place the new home on it. If you could email me and let me know what area you are in I would be happy to refer a GOOD set-up man (it is essential that you get someone who is VERY good in this area or you could have serious problems in the future). Also, what make and how large is the home you are thinking of purchasing? I only ask as the price seems a bit high since you could actually purchase a new mobile home if not for the same price, maybe just a little bit higher.
Thanks,
Cindy
