new home purchase

Can anyone tell me ,if they were to purchase a new manufactured home today (hud) which home would they select if money was to be considered as well?
Perhaps it would be easier if I was told which homes to avoid. Will be placing it on a piece of private property here in Michigan. Want it on a basement and a step down model. Vaulted ceilings and full drywall.
We now have a Hart home 32x80 and its a fairly good home only 2 years old. Our biggest complaint with this home is the floors. It seems that they squeak and pop and need attention with clips under side etc.
Will a perameter wall help on the next model? Would a modular home be that much more cost wise and would it be a much better investment? On our existing home there are 8 cross steel beams under the home. Can these beams be removed after the home is setup? Of course I realize it may need a center beam and some jack posts. Thanks for any advice anyone can give. Don
