I know the whole story on oakwood filing bk and the complaints associated with their homes.I still feel they build a quality home at certain facilities.does anybody know anything about their faciluty in Kansas?I thinl it is a Shultz plant but not quite sure.If anybody has any input on this please respond.
Thanks
Jim

Oakwood is now owned by Clayton Homes...There is little track record for the "new" plants...
Maybe the best approach would be to ask the dealer for customer references of the homes built since the Clayton take over...
I would not consider a pre Clayton built home sitting on a dealer lot..

I would be concerned about workmanship today. Clayton has changed the pay structure for assembly workers resulting in a large employee turn over. This has reduced output at some plants and is always bad for quality, because less experienced people are building the homes.
