help park being sold
I recently went to sell my mobile home and I was told that the seasonal park I am in on Cape Cod may be sold in the near future. What rights do I have if the park owner decided to sell to a developer?

Your rights vary from state to state. I'm not familiar with the law in your state, but in New York you must be given no less than six months advance notice if the land on which your park is situated will be used for something other than a manufactured home community.
Also in NY, residents have an opportunity to form an organization to purchase the park themselves. New Hampshire does too. You should check to see if your state offers a similar opportunity. My company provides consulting to NY State in regard to its program and it has helped many folks when their parks were sold.
Contact your state Attorney General or manufactured home association for specific information about your rights.
Good luck!
