HUD Appraisal

Post by Yvonne » Wed Jul 21, 2004 5:32 pm

I am finally at the last step of the purchase process - a 1979 mobile in California. All has gone well until now. The FHA approved appraiser has indicated the mobile may need to have 6" eaves in order to qualify for FHA financing!! He is researching and will let me know tomorrow.

Does anyone have experience with this type of situation? I am so frustrated - have jumped through so many hoops to be stopped dead by the lack of eaves!

Any input appreciated!

The eves are not necessary..as a matter of fact many new homes only have 4 inches or less...these are financed FHA everyday..

Unfortunately not many FHA fee inspectors are familiar with manufactured homes..Often folks have to try more than 1 of them...

If you got by the foundation requirement..you should be fine...Good Luck..
