Are-u there Mr. Murray??
Are-u there Mr. Murray??
You are an expert at what you do! I have read most of your replies on this website and wish I had of found you earlier. You probably could of helped me answer a lot of questions, (or gave me questions to ask them!) I hope to get my house straightened out soon. It truly is shoddy work. The peeling cabinets had to come from the manufacturer as is the long discolored mark on the kitchen floor (right in the middle wouldn't you know). I researched a ton before making the decision to go w/ a modular or manufactured whichever it is. Everything I read was very positive. How could I have ended up w/such a dud?? They had it finished in a week after he called in the order. I would of rathered stay at a hotel(remember my apt. lease had been up weeks earlier-they just let me stay until it was already "rented") than to have to deal with all of this. We "blue" taped everything for the walk-through 2 weeks after moving in. They have everything that needed fixing on paper. No one has contacted us about anything. Give me some hints. You can e-mail me back at my work if you'd feel more comfortable. Thanks for ANY info. Monica in NC [email protected]

Just to reassure you...All manufactured homes are built in factories with hundreds of folks working on them...It is like a giant gigsaw puzzle where everyone knows where all the parts go..
Most homes are actually built from start to finish and hooked to a truck in 3 to 4 days...any time longer to get the home is the back log of other orders before yours..
Your state has a strong regulatory agency who has a consumer complaint division..Call these folks..

FAX: (919) 715-9693
They will inspect the home...ORDER the dealer or manufacturer to correct any none cosmetic problems (some of these are fixed under the workmanship areas of the code)...the rest of the cosmetic items might require a small claims court to settle...Good Luck
