Can anyone out there tell me a little bit about the Vindale? When did they stop making them? Did they go bankrupt or merge with another company? Where were they made? Thanks, Carol

Vindale was the first of the VERY high quality homes in its day...I think they had more than one factory...but the one I dealt with was in Tallahassee, Fl....If I remember right they closed in the middle 80's...maybe ealier..they were the best of the best of the time...

I have a 1977 Vindale double wide and cannot find a title. Any idea how I can track it down if the company is out of business? Cannot find it recorded in city/county records either so was hoping I could contact the company. It's a 1977 and I do have a serial number, born on date, appreciate any help.

I was in the same situation when I refinanced my home and it is a 76' Vindale Continental. As long as you have the serial number( which I found all of the info I needed on my hall furnace door and on the data plate on one corner of the house) your county clerks office should be able to produce a title for you. If your house is on a concrete footer( or block) I would recommend getting an afidavit of a fixture. this will help you in the future if you would like to get an Equity line of credit. because it will state that your home is on a permanant foundation
