MH Builders in Georgia

I am seeking information on all the MH builders in GA. Can anyone recomend some?? I am in the Augusta area and we have been searching for a MH for sometime now. I had my eye and heart set on the 2000 28x80 Fleetwood Anniversary but was told its no longer available. We found another comaparable Fleetwood and the MH dealer that we were working with - Rainbow Homes- which also owns Gold Medal, Omega and Environs here in Augusta and a Rainbow in Thomson GA- well I found out through another MH dealer that the owner of these companies has filed bankruptcy. I am now even more confused than ever. We presently live in a 1995 Fleetwood 14x52 Value Elite and to be truthful it has been a pretty good home. We paid only 10,000.00 for the house, new and that was with delivery setup and A/C. I am hoping I can sell it for at least 8500.00 as it is still in pretty good shape. My only complaint is that the bathtub is plastic and that it has cracks in the bottom of it which have been duct taped to death, lol.so we have to replace that. We are seeking to purchase a DW 28x80 or 28x70 but I am now unsure which route to go. The new MH dealer that I am working with sells Bellcrest, Sweetwater, Homes of Merit and a few others. I am now limited to MH dealers cause the previous one I was working with was one of the largest in my area and with there bankruptcy situation I don't know who to trust. We are looking to stay in the 35000-43000 range. Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated.

I do not live in GA and know a limited amount about their dealers, but you can call the GA State Administrative Agency @ 912-891-7040 and ask for Mr. Fortson. I know him and I can tell you that he will be glad to assist. Bear in mind he may not be able to recommend any particular dealer over another, but he can give you tips to aid you in your search for a solid dealer and manufacturer.

Hope this helps.
