HOMES OF LEGEND

Hi. We are looking at a 28z76 Homes of Legend brand home. It has 5 bedrooms and 3 baths with living room, den w/ fireplace, and seperate dining room. They are supposedly on special for 39990, this does not include tax or a/c. With tax and a/c, it would run about 44000. I cannot find much information on how well these homes are built. They have a one year warranty that is supposed to cover EVERYTHING, but you never know. I have seen a couple of different things on the net about them not living up to the warranty and this worries me. I think they are like a cheaper Champion home, but not entirely sure. Has/does anybody out there know anything about these homes? Or anyone who has bought one? We also looked at a repo of the same dimensions and all as mentioned above and can save like 10000 by buying the 1999 instead of brand new one. This will be our first home purchase and we just want to be really careful and get our moneys worth without getting in a big mess with a home that is not up to par. Which homes are the best as far as their warranties and living up to it? Any help at all on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

I usually stay away from questions like this, but when I hear someone is looking at a Homes of Legend, all I can say is RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

See my response to Ginny's question about which is the best brand. PLEASE follow the advice there and DO SOME SERIOUS RESEARCH of your own before you buy that house!
