trailors
trailors
Damn, I might just buy one of these trailors. There not that bad and I can get twice the size house for the same price as a stick built.I just visited a skyline dealer in Maryland. There pretty nice but I still cant say they are built better than a stick built. The trim throughout the trailor is laminated and looks cheap. The end panels on the cabinets are really thin. The furnace and bathroom vents all exit the roof in the front of the house and the furnace is in a closet in the hallway with a cheap looking metal door to hide it.These are things I will change after i move in.But my reason for buying one is because this is what I can afford.I know and am willing to admit that its not as nice as a stickbuilt but it will be mine and one day I will be able to build a real house.
Re: trailors
If you could only admit that your post's are obnoxious, juvinile, and a little "gay", you will have achieved great success!!! Have a great day Jason:)
Re: trailors
Ok I am obnoxious and J U V E N I L E .Im not gay and if I was would there be something wrong with that.I think your upset because I just described your trailor above. So if I can admit that, can you admit that the trim throughout your trailor looks cheap, your end panels on your cabinets are cheap and the vents coming out of your roof look like hell. Can you even admit its a trailor. Also your wrong Im not the best speller on this site but i do spell better than you.
Re: trailors
Jason,
The average site built home comes in at about $100.00 a square foot. The average home our industry sells comes in at less than $50.00 a square foot. For the extra $50.00 on each square foot, site built "real homes", should have better trim.
Besides if all you can find wrong is that some of our homes have less costly trim than what you like, I guess we are doing alright.
By the way, it's manufactured housing, and it's real housing.

Re: trailors trailers
Keep in mind, just like when you buy anything, you get what you pay for. The brand of manufactured homes I sell do not have cheap trims and end panels. The trim is solid oak crown and the end panels match the solid oak cabinetry, not veneer but hardwood.
You can buy a Yugo or you can buy an Audi. And by the way, a trailer is what you pull behind your car. You live in a manufactured home.

Re: trailors trailers
Kelly what kind of homes do you sell? I have not bought a manufactured home yet. I am currently looking right now. What is the best kind out there? All I have been hearing is horror stories about them.
Re: trailors trailers
There are many great manufactured homes available in all markets in the country..
The industry offers you huge choices...Very basic to the very best...We all have to make decisions to fit our pocket book...We all have to decide between quality features...size..and goodies...Some try to fit huge homes..with lots of goodies into a restricted pocketbook and give up quality...others opt for quality first..then weigh size and features as being optional...Of course some will reach deep into the pocket and get it all..
Almost all of the major manufacturers build a range of homes offering all of the above folks with a home to buy..
First you have to decide your priorities...how much can you afford...what MUST you have...What do you NEED...what do you WANT...Then find product in your area that fills the order..There are many out there..
