Help! My husband and I are looking for a mobile home and we are trying to compare between a Fleetwood and a Town and Country Cavalier. I Like the extras that Cavalier has such has Ceramic sinks,Delta faucets,Solied wood cabinets ,Molding, Etc..... The only thing my DH doesn't like is the plumbing. That is why he is leaning toward Fleetwood. Please help with ANY and ALL advice on these two homes. I really have my heart set on one of the Cavalier floorplans.
Thank you,
Cavalier vs. Fleetwood in Texas
Re: Cavalier vs. Fleetwood in Texas
I have looked at the Cavalier and Fleetwood models for the past year. Fleetwood
is still building the same basic El Cheapo that they made last year.
Cavalier, on the other hand, has greatly improved the quality of their homes and
offerings. The Bridgeport doublewide is better built than a comparable Fleetwood.
This is just an example. I was only looking at double wide, not singles.
Make a list of construction features and any other amenities you want. Then go
to your dealers with the same list. Compare the prices.
Both of these manufacturers have had a bad rep for quality, but the Cavalier has
at least made an effort to improve. IMHO
good luck
