My wife and I are purchasing a doublewide from Skyline and I was wondering if we should buy the deck directly fromthem or have it built after the fact? Is the quality/cost the same? Any reccomendations?

keep in mind that the deck will be built into the mortage if they do it, so essentially you will be financing a deck for 30 years, or whatever term.

I tell my Clients the same thing, you want to finance a washer & dryer for thirty yrs? Go to Best Buy, or Lowes whatever... My advise would be to get Vinyl, It looks nice, hold up for years, and needs little upkeep. The investment may be highwer initally, But it pays for itself. If you cant afford Vinyl, wait. Unless your the type of guy who enjoys washing and staining the deck and all the other little things you need to do to keep a wood deck looking good. My husband is a great man, but, doesnt know which end of the hammer to use, LOL

you should wait and build it cause you might not can afford it right then and i think it would be better to build it
