Jim and Lynn:
Several years ago Southern Energy Homes had a production plant in the northeast and my company sold homes produced in that plant for about two years. Although I can't speak about other Southern Energy Homes plants, the one in the northeast suddenly started cutting corners and we began to experience problems. As a result we discontinued their product line. Sometime later I heard the northeast plant closed.
Certainly, other production plants for Southern Energy Homes may be producing acceptable product. So I suggest you continue to thoroughly investigate before you buy. Ask your retailer for a complete list of construction specifications, then examine them carefully.
Good luck. Jon.
