The Manufactured Housing Forums

I did a search on this forum for Silver Crest Manufactured Homes, but turned up mo information. Are any forum members familiar with the homes manufactured bu this company? Are they well made? Are they a good value?

I found the Silvercrest website recently while browsing and was amazed at their floor designs. These are the ultimate in manufactured housing. Very innovative. The link to their website is: http://www.silvercrest.com/products.htm

We have a 2002 Silvercrest WC-09 and can't say enough about the quality of the home. It's gorgeous and very well built. We had it moved from CA to NM (3 pieces) pulled up our hill with a bulldozer and set it on a permanent foundation. It sustained minimal shipping and setting damage and the reps came to NM 2 weeks after it was set to fix the minor problems. We're due for the 1 year check and so far have only 1 cracked window (settling) to fix. We incurred BIG shipping and sales tax $$, but are very happy with the home. The only problem we've had was with our original lender - who approved our construction appraisal and then bailed on us when the permanent financing time came. I think the problem was the lack of appraisal comps available of the same caliber as Silvercrest and had to be compared to cheaper made homes.
