Hi, We replaced our H2O Tank about 4 yrs ago, on our 1992 Schult, It is leaking, we are in a Community (unfortunatley) and not on a basement or slab so it is leaking under the house. Is there a way to repair a tank? Or must it be replaced? If replaced can one be purchased at Home Depot or a similar store?
If anyone has any idea's what to check, or anything at all, please email me.

Thanks!
Sheila

hi,
I think you should check with the manufacturer of the hot water heater. tanks usually have a longer warranty than just the regular parts like elements.
Hope this helps.

The cost of a water heater these days is not much. It is a whole lot cheaper than
repairing water damaged flooring. Check the size of your tank, gas or electric,
and go somewhere like Home Depot, and buy another one. Try to buy one with
at least a 10 year warranty. They aren't hard to replace, and a plumber most
likely won't make his Caddy payment with his labor charge.

If the tank is leaking no one is going to repair it, as that would involve removing
the enamel cover and all the insulation, repairing the leak, and reassembling
the thing.

Hope this helps, good luck.
