My wife and I are considering a manufactured home when we move to southeastern Arizona. What brands of manufactured homes are sold in that area? Are there any resources available to compare one manufacturer’s product to another’s? What company offers the best workmanship and value in mid to upper quality homes?

Chilibill,
Hello,
You have several fine manufactures in Arizona at this time. You Chariot Eagle West in Phoenix, Schult Homes in Buckeye, HallMark Southwest Corporation out of Loma Linda, California, Karsten Homes out of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Solitaire Homes in Deming, New Mexico. I just thought of sharing these companies with you because they are just some of the well respected companies in the manufactured housing industry. Make sure when you buy have 2x6 exterior walls, R-19 exterior insulation, R-33 or more in the ceiling, 30 pounds per square feet roof load, one piece tub and shower stalls, plywood floors with R-19 insulation, water shut off at each fixtures, elonagated toilets, and architectural shingles, make sure you stay away from black and brown. These colors absorb so much heat in the summer, tape and textured if you want, and every framing studs on 16"o.c. Good luck!

I would suggest looking at Palm Harbors. I have been an independent Palm Harbor retailer for over 16 years and I am very proud of this product.

Standard features such as plywood tongue and groove flooring, full tape and texture with rounded corners, and great cabinets make Palm Harbors an easy choice.

I am located in Show Low, Arizona and deliver state wide.
