We have a large open septic field surrounded on the sides with the dead trees and brush pused there during grading. We are slowly (and sorely( attemtping to clear these areas. Is it ok to build a fire over the field itself?

It is best that you call you local city fire department and ask to speak with someone over there that knows the city codes and requirements for open fires close to homes. Mobile homes go up really really fast and I would not recommend having an open flame close to one. So check it out with the fire department and they will let you know the regulations as to how close u can have a fire to your house.
