Purchasing a mobile in Florida

I am interested in purchasing a mobile home in mid Florida on private land. Seems like most of the sites I have come across have mobiles for sale in parks. I would rather avoid these as most are age restricted and come with park fees. I lived in Florida for 6 years and became well versed on the deed restricted communities...many of the mobile parks being the worse. Fortunately I had a home not a mobile. I would like to purchase one for a winter retreat. This would be my first time buying a mobile home so any hints would be greatly appreciated. Does anyone know of a good site to find mobiles on private land for sale?
What should I look for when buying a mobile? I am interested in both new and used mobiles that are built structurely sound.
Thanks in advance...:)

I would expect the first place to look are real estate listings in the area you might be interested in...Also "shopper" type advertising papers are a favorite advertising source for manufactured homes....Find out about them in the area you are looking, call them and ask for a copy...

Deed restricted communities are very common in FL..even for manufactured home communities....most unrestricted land might be found in rural areas...if there are any in the area you want to go to...."mid Florida " is a large area...there are many smaller counties with available land...but would be hard to locate unrestricted communities...Good Luck

check realtor.com. also once you find the area you are looking for, find realtors or manufacturer dealers in the area. most deal with land and home package. rural parts of polk county has a lot. they are outside city limits but a lot of them are very nice areas.
