New MH - Questions (Murray)

I'm still in the process of gathering info on MH, between Easton's book and this wed site I have learned a lot.
A couple of yr. ago I purchase a MH in a 55+ park, it's approx. 35 yr. old (one of the youngest in the park). I knew it would have to be replaced sometime, but due to some problems with the roof and water damage I have decided to do it as soon as I retire.
Since I will not have a car and not be able to go to various dealers, although those that I talk to said they might be able to arrange a visit to their place. I planning to set up a chart, asking about the floor, roof, plumbing, etc. and if they can upgrade these items and fax to the dealership. Most of the companies have sent this information, but the company with the floor plan that I like the most has not. Going to call one of their dealership today and & see if they have more info.
Since the new MH will placed on the same site as the old do I have to worry about site prep?
In your response to "Paula" 6/30/02 re: water heater, (item #7) that it MUST be place on the outside wall - is this for gas heaters only? Since many of the floor plans I have seen the water heater is place away from the outside wall.
May have more questions and hopefully most will be answered, since I only have a few more months to work and I'm using the company's PC.
