Hello, I am trying to get financing on a manufactured home permanently affixed to a permanent foundation. We are using a FHA loan. The home has been remodeled, and the HUD Data Plates and the HUD Certification Label have been removed. We are attempting to order a verification through IBTS but they require the name of the manufacturer. Through the county assessor's office, we were able to obtain a "Affidavit of Affixation" which lists the manufacturer name as "RADCO" and the year as 1976. The serial number is listed as 7251A and 7251B. Length and Width is 56x23. The home is located in Denton, Maryland. We submitted this to IBTS, but they stated that RADCO is a manufactured home inspector and does not make homes themselves.

Is there any alternative way we can find out the manufacturer name?

Thank you!

Try reaching out to local building departments or utilizing online databases to uncover your manufactured home's manufacturer. Seek professional assistance if needed.

Yes! Since RADCO is an inspection agency and not a manufacturer, you’ll need to find the actual builder of your home.

You can try checking with the County Recorder’s Office as they sometimes have original records of the home. Another option is the State DMV or Housing Authority, where manufactured homes are often registered. You might also find a manufacturer’s sticker or serial plate inside cabinets, closets, or the electrical panel. If possible, reach out to previous owners or local mobile home dealers, as they might have old records or know more about the home's history. If none of these options work, I’d recommend asking IBTS if they have an alternative way to verify the manufacturer. Hope this helps!

You might try contacting the county recorder’s office or the local building department in Denton, Maryland. They may have records of the original permit or construction documents that could provide the manufacturer’s name.

You can check records at Maryland DHCD, look for a sticker inside the home,Monkey Mart Game contact the previous owner, or ask IBTS to look up the serial number to determine the manufacturer.
