Exciting times ahead with your double-wide home! For electricity, you might spend around $100-$150 a month if you're careful. Propane could be $200-$300 monthly in winter, depending on how much you use it. Prices change, though.

Wow okay that's like double what we're paying now in a conventional home but we are on a budget plan which is like 180 a month all year thank you very much for the information also looking to see what typical problems are in these new manufactured homes the brand we're looking at is Colony homes out of Pennsylvania

Glad the info helped, even if the numbers were a bit surprising! Budget plans do make a big difference. As for typical issues in new manufactured homes, it varies but watch for things like insulation, window seals, and proper installation to avoid any surprises down the line. Colony homes have a solid rep, but it's always good to ask around or check reviews for any model-specific quirks. Hope your move goes smoothly and you love your new place!

The electricity price you provided seems reasonable. I am also looking for a house like the above. Based on the information everyone provided, planet clicker I will probably choose a satisfactory house.

The electricity would be around $150-350 a month with propane. That is not expensive for the quality of life there I think. Anyway, congratulations on your new home.

The yearly electricity and propane costs for a double wide can vary, but expect around $1,500-$2,500 annually. Insulationcoreball quality and energy efficiency play key roles. Good luck!

Hello
I am asking if anyone can help me out with mobile homes that I am looking to move into in the areas of Virginia that I'm going to list! I live in West Virginia and over a year ago I put in applications in a few places in Virginia for HUD's Housing Choice Voucher that I just got on October 1st, 2024 that is good for 60 days and I can ask for an extension too near the voucher expiring! I mush rather live in a mobile home then an apartment! I have lived in a few mobile homes back in the late 80's! I find them to be nicer than most apartments and homes! I am looking to move to these cities: Harrisonburg, VA, Norfolk, VA, Charlottesville, VA, Richmond, VA or Richmond area, Aylett, VA, Toano, VA, Mosely, VA, Midlothian, VA, Staunton, VA, Prince George, VA, Tappahannock, VA, Glen Allen, VA, Williamsburg, VA,!! Anyone with the knowledge of these cities and mobile homes/mobile parks being available with HUD!!?? Would be greatly appreciated!! Thank You! Deana
