Marriage joint

I have a double wide that has been in place for 8 years. I'm installing LVP flooring in the dining room and kitchen and would like to continue it through the living room as well. I pulled the metal carpet transition strip out and the marriage joint is exposed now (which i wanted). The house has not moved since it was installed so I have to assume it was put together correctly. However. the subfloor from the two sides don't meet over the marriage joint and it is packed full of insulation. How do I fill that :void" so that I can go over that joint? Everything I read says to fill it with wood, but given the small gap that is filled with insulation, I don't know that is an option. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you have a double rim joist then cut decking back to first rim on both sides. Then cut a piece to fit and secure.
