We just had a new furnace and central air installed in our 1996 Redman and the air condioner is VERY loud, is this normal?
If the new appliance is louder than the old system here is a ferw things to check.
1. Did they oversize the new appliance? Often time the ducts can not handle the higher cfm of a new appliance.
2. Is the cabinet sealed? Sometimes the installers can forget to seal all of the opening s and the unit can whistle.
3. Its very possible the blower motor wheel is out of balance which can cause horrible noise.
I purchased my new system from https://myhvacprice.com and the local company got me a retrofit with an Inertherm I think it was called.
