HELP, NO VIN CANNOT FIND

I have a 1979 manufactured home and have a contract to sell but the mortgage company for the buyers need the VIN# and letter of verification. The home has been completely remodeled and everything has been removed. Is the serial number that is supposed to be stamped onto the beam on the top of the beam or underneath, side, etc.? Tow hitch and everything has been removed since it is on a permanent foundation. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
