Would I be rude if I asked how much you're paying for this repo? I think Skyline makes the best looking house (inside) I've seen - and I've looked at plenty of other dealers. Of course Richard's experience would make me very hesitant, but assuming that he just happened to get a lemon, I'd jump on a reasonably priced Skyline if I saw one --- but I've never seen a Skyline on the repo lots.

Have you shopped new Skylines first...The price seems a little high for that size in the repo market in the SE.....You might try negotiating a better price if this is the home you want.

Good Luck

To give you the other side of Richard's coin, we purchased our Skyline #9711 28x56 manufactured in the San Jucinto plant in So. Cal. We have been in it since last August and are very pleased with the construction and quality of the home. Ours also came with plywood flooring. Only way to go! We have had some very minor problems (normal for a new home) and the dealer corrected them immediately. As i said we couldn't be happier with our home.

I think $49,000 sounds WONDERFUL !!! When I looked at the new Skylines last summer, the model I really liked was "only" $120,000. Yes, I said one hundred twenty THOUSAND dollars! The cheaper models were not that much less, so I just wrote Skyline off of my list of possibilities.
