Tub Replacement

Post by John » Sat Oct 14, 2000 7:44 pm

We have just recently bought a new mobile home and the tub is a avacado greeen and is only about 12 inches deep. We would like to replace this but want to know if there any problems replacing this compared to doing one at any other house. The plumbing underneath the tub does not look like it would support a a deeper tub. Any ideas would be appreciated.

If your home is a BRAND NEW one, built to the latest federal code for MH a tub replacement should be no problem. Changing a tub often requires some plumbing modifications in ANY home.

Get the phone number of the builder that produced the home from the owners manual. They can tell you what brand of tubs they use and if you will have any structural problems. By using a like brand you might get away with a minimum of plumbing changes.
