If it is a double section...The lose would be substancial...so much that I would recommend agianst this route unless resale is not a factor..as with many seniors..
The lose could easily be about 40%...
A better appraoch for those who do worry about resale..is to buy a small piece of property near by..then sell as a package...OR..buy a used home where most of the lose has already been absorbed..there still would be a lose because of the high cost of moving (easily $4000 for a double section)...
After many years resale prices will start to rise..They will track new home prices and years from now the used home would recover most if not all of its original price..if only because new homes cost sooooo much more...In the short term though no matter what happens to the market...losses would be large..
Solitaire or Palm Harbor?
Re: Solitaire or Palm Harbor?
I have lived in a 4 bedroom PH home for a year and it is the greatest. We moved from a $150.000 home into this home which we placed in the country. The main plus is that PH stands behind their homes. Ours has 2 by 6 outer walls,2 by four inner walls, plywood floors, all sheetrock inside and all the extras you could want in a home.we have a huge rock fireplace which we placed gas logs inside and the best of insulation. The utilities are less than were in the city home.I don't think you will go wrong witha P.H. Ours came from the dealer in Cullman Alabama. I have nerer heard of Solitaire, probably not available in this area.

Murry, this is off topic here. ButI have gotten so many conflicting answers on this thouhgt I'd try you. We own a Schult, on the title (we are in a community) it says Patriot! When we 1st bought the home, several years ago my husband and I had no clue the difference.... One says whatever is on the title, anoter says go by the sticker on the (my) circuit breaker. What is your oppinion? Chase says the sticker
