Seeking a loan with bad credit history!

Post by kathryn_m » Tue Nov 20, 2007 9:07 am

I am looking to buy a new house but for my bad credit history I am hesitant to ask anyone about it. Is there any chance that I get another loan and meet the requirement of owning a house? Any suggestions? Thanks!

Bad credit means different things to each person...Housing lenders have tightened up the required standards in the last few months....Another new loan will NOT help you acquire better credit...You should get copies of all 3 of your credit files from www.annualcreditreport.com DSo not waste your money on the scores they will try to sell you...Review all of the negative stuff on the reports and report any errors..which you can do free on-line at this web site...Pay special attention to the public records section of the reports..ALL judgments, tax liens, and child support liens will HAVE to be paid and released prior to you getting a loan...Take these 3 reports and find a NON PROFIT credit counseling organization in your area....Tell thew case person about your desire and let him/her advise you of the best way to clean up your problems....Remember only time will fix them all....It took you years to build this situation and now will take you a long time to work out of it..Starting NOW you should pay EVERY bill on time or early so no more trouble adds to the pile...Some time lenders will overlook a few old rough spots with good stable employment and large downs ( 25 to 50%)..

If you have already filed bankruptcy and have problems since..You might well be sunk...

DO NOT pay any money to a "credit fix joint"..They cannot get legitimate bad marks removed..They only can get mistakes cleared up..which you can do for free...Set your mind to it and have pateince...Time will fix all..Good Luck
