Leaks in the wall

I know it is a long shot that anyone has had a similar problem but I have a 1984 Fleetwood Sandpointe single wide home and it seems to have developed a leak. It is in the master bedroom between the water heater and the bathroom. We have been underneath and see absolutely nothing. Any ideas where to start. Thank you for any help or advice you might have. It's not a long shot, most people have similar problems when they own similar homes.

Take the wall out, fix the leak and put a new wall back up.

I guess I'd start at the water heater and look for evidence of leakage.

I think Mac has the right idea... it sounds like the problem is a leak inside the water heater compartment. Open it up locate the problem and fix it. This is a common problem in any home, manufactured or site built that uses a tank type water heater and is most times easily repaired. Dont put this off... continuing water leaks can cause more and more serious problems the longer you let it go.

Annabeth,
Sometimes you will have a leak at the shower head between the walls. This will leak only when you use the shower...sometime it shows up on the floor...since it does not leak all the time, it might not appear under the home....cause...perhaps you've replace the shower head & cracked the plastic extension that is is many homes...if it is the waterheater...TURN OFF THE ELECTRIC...then check the lower access panel...remove...then stick a pencil into the bottom area...see if wet...BAD NEWS...wet probably means a leaks in the tank...also by now should have water around base...remember...TURN OFF ELECTRICITY...hope it is the shower head.
