Rentals? Allowed?

I am thinking about buying a manufactured home in a lot rental community to rent out as income. So far the few I have asked say no rentals allowed. I wonder is this the norm in lot rental Parks? Also I found few if no insurance companies will give insurance if the unit is to be a rental. Any info appreciated. This is in Florida.

Hi Charles, yes this seems to be the norm as my park will not allow it either. I'm sure one reason is because the park manager has little control over who rents it and you really don't want the surprise I woke up to one morning. There were Federal agents across the street doing part of the nationwide extasy drug bust last summer. Would putting it on land help?
