NORMANDY HOMES DID ME WRONG

Post by Craig » Sat Jun 26, 2004 3:08 pm

I purchased a double wide from Normandy Mobile Homes in Jacksonville, FL in Feburary. what a nightmare. I have had to go to Homes of Merit in Lake City, FL directly to get things fixed correctly. it has been a contest between the factory & dealer about who's fault things are. Almost July now & things still arent completed to my satisfaction.
the dealer still has my money that I originally paid them for land improvements which never got done. I am trying to get a check for the overpayment along with a a copy of each invoice that was paid out to anyone working in relation with my home.
the dealer tells me they are unable to get a copy of each invoice that was paid out or a list of the amounts & who was paid because they just do not have that. but they now have a check ready for me to pick up.
what is the opinion of the readers of this forum ? should I just go pick up the check ? if they can not give me notice of what happened with my overpayment for land improvements how do they know what amount to refund me ?
I just want to be done with this nightmare but I dont want to take any more than I already have from this dealership.

thanks to anyone that can help me out.

Danny

they won't show you invoices because they don't match your cost sheet, they add to each cost as more proffit
example:
foundation 2200 they charge you 2800
set up 3000 they charge you 4000
trim 1300 they chrge you 2000
grading 4000 they charge you 6000

get the picture?
