poor quality mobile home
poor quality mobile home
Help, any advice:
I'm afraid we've gotten stuck with a lemon, we paid good money for the home, the dealer we bought from has gone out of business, we are totally dissatisfied with the quality of this home, there has been one repair after another, and now the warranty has run out, what are our options?
Thanks
Re: poor quality mobile home
Try your state's manuf home dept. It'll depend on whether they've fixed pre-warrantied items that weren't fixed properly as well. You should be able to find it online or any manuf home dealer can give you their number.
Also, try your home's brand name's factory.

Re: poor quality mobile home
The best you can do now is protect your investment...improve your home...and move toward being proud of it...
The point is..you will probably have no help...I hope others get the point reading this that information...investigation...education should all be done before you buy...Not after a problem arises...I know that does not help you..But it might help others..
The other post here is right...If there are HUD code violations...they are covered for ever...not just the warranty period..and you can make a complaint to your states agency anytime...They only work on safety and health problems...NOT cosmetic problems...which is really the most of all complaints..
Start planning on making improvements to your home...room by room...Good Luck

Hi jmarie
I do have a suggestion.
Bring your poor quality home up to above standard.
Above par.
Keep all your recipts.
It is no big deal but it will take some time, money and information.
Contact Randall Eaton 509-766-7757...www.buymobilehome.info
Fax. 509-765-9649
He is a great guy and has a couple of books that will help you.
Cheap too!
He can show you what to and how to do it.
I am an MH appraiser, loan officer, real estate agent amoung other things and he has great advice!
All you need is the right information.
This may be how you guys get started investing once you get restarted.
Right now your a bit down but what your looking at may be a diamond in the ruff.
By the way, you may have just become an investor.
Cool hah?
PS. Always complain to the regulatory agency of choice.
This should get you started
