I'm adding to my previous info not responding to myself.

This is for the State of Pennsylvania.
You have to keep after the retailer and manufacturer.
The manufacturer is responsible for making sure that their homes are up to code when they leave the factory.
They are also responsible for making sure that their dealers they sell their homes to follow through with all of their BS.
It isn't going to happen over night trust me.
I thought it would and I was wrong.
It also isn't HUD's fault that the dealers don't fix inspection violations.
YOU have to keep after the dealer and manufacturer.
Write every phone call down, every letter, etc...
We have to be the ones to do it.
HUD is the "unbiased" party and not the judge.
They have rules to follow too.
Get an attorney and drive the dealer crazy until they do something.
Write letters to the editors.
We shouldn't have to do any of this stuff, I agree. It's BS but if we want it done we have to keep fighting and let them know we aren't going to back down.
I'm finally getting to the point where we are going to have to go to court. Last thing I want to do.
It made me sick when I found out how many people our dealer did this to.
Then I found this site, unbelievable.
They count on the fact that we will get discouraged and then not bother anymore.
I've been there lots of times. I'm scared and just like all of you. I am tired of the BS but I've done allot of research on my own.
Look up the "Unfair Trade Practices & Consumer Protection Law"
Call your State Representatives, BBB, Attorney General Office, State Inspectors, etc... it may seem pointless or that is taking forever & what's the point? The point is, the more you do & the more you have on paper, the better you look.
Sometimes that's enough to make the weasels do something & sometimes not BUT if you go to court and you have "Official" paper work, who is going to look like the guilty party? Not you!!
It's hard work and allot of work but if I can do it, so can you.
Don't give up because then they do win.
