My wife and I have been looking at new homes for close to a year now. We have both decided on the Fleetwood Barrington Elite Seris home. It offers the space and floor plan that we both like. (model 4763A). Seems like buying a certan brand home is like buying a certan brand car, some love or hate certan brands.We live in north central Ohio and are looking for a honest opinion on this manufaturer and model home> Please help.

I do not own a Fleetwood but, up until a month ago, Fleetwood was one of the tree manufatures of mobile homes that was sold at our retirement park. However, their service was so terrible ("horrendous" was the word the park manager used when he told me), That they no longer carry Fleetwood. Also, a mobile home dealer in my city also dropped Fleetwood for the same reason. We live in NH.

Thanks for the input. I also heard that Fleetwood service was poor, especially out of the Gary, Indiana faculity. This is where the sales rep said that the home would be built if we gpo through with the order !

Hi,

I am looking for someone to finance Me, My Mother, and my Roommate a home. We need at least 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. We would also like for it to have a Den. We all have income coming in but we all also live on Disability or Social Security. Our 3 incomes can pay for anything we get. The biggest problem is that our credit is NO good. We would like to have a home on it's on piece of land. If possible we would like to get a Double-Wide on an acre of land. Please help us to get re-estabilished with our credit. I've recently gotten a Cell phone from Sprint PCS and it's billed monthly. My payment wasn't due until the 18th of March and I went on to pay it before time. I hope you haven't purchased yet. My husband and I purchased a new Fleetwood doublewide at the end of 1998. Within 6 months, roof leaked, electrical problems began & many other things started falling apart. We've notified everyone we can think of constantly (manufacturer, retailer, main office in California, the State Manufacturing Housing Commission, lawyers) and still no results. Everyone makes promises they won't live up to. Their service is absolutely pitiful, even worse that this piece of crap lemon of a home we have (if that's possible). BEWARE! Also, their website is a joke.

i own a fleetwood and it is only a year old. we had so many
problems with the home during our walk thru there was
22 repairs now we our up to 40. please beware of there
2 year warranty they had excuses for everything and
would had to fight and wait for up to 4-5 months for the repairs.
alots of major problems within 7 months . run away.
we have the suncrest model . there service is terrible everywhere
we our for new york. i'm telling you to run.

we our with you a fleetwood. i wouldn't recommend them
to anyone. there warranty is a joke. our home is only a year
old and had 40 repairs and waiting for the repairs they have
excuses for everything. you try to make your dream come
true all you get is nightmare.

I have been trying to get an Owner,s Handbook, a wiring diagram, and a plumbing diagram for my 1990 Floeetwood Eagle Trace 3563S for about a year. Fleetwood says it destroys all paperwork after 7 years, so they can't help me. Can anyoone offer any suggestions?
I don't understand this because I have no trouble getting manuals & wiring diagrams for my '87 Ford pick-up which I paid only $10K for. How come I can't get any help with a home I paid over $30K for?
