Using Pipe Liners to Fix Leaks Without Replacing Pipes
In a mobile home park, if the drain line running from the home to the street has a leak, is there a method to repair it by inserting a pipe liner instead of replacing the entire pipe? I know an elderly person facing this issue, so I’m trying to find out more about pipe lining services and whether they’re a good solution.

Pipe lining can be a good fix if the pipe is mostly intact, since it’s less invasive than replacement. A camera inspection first will show whether lining is suitable or if a full replacement is needed.

Re: Using Pipe Liners to Fix Leaks Without Replacing Pipes
Using pipe liners to fix leaks is a clever solution, especially for mobile home parks where replacing the entire pipe can be costly and disruptive. It’s interesting to see how technology allows for inserting liners to seal leaks and extend the life of existing pipes. Learning about these techniques gives a practical perspective on modern plumbing solutions, and understanding the pros and cons of pipe lining can help homeowners make informed decisions while minimizing repair costs.

Pipe lining sounds like a good alternative when the pipe structure is still in decent shape. I'd definitely recommend getting a camera inspection first so you know whether repair or replacement makes more sense.
Re: Using Pipe Liners to Fix Leaks Without Replacing Pipes
Pipe lining can be a solid option when a drain line is leaking, especially if you want to avoid digging up and replacing the whole pipe. It typically involves inserting a liner that seals the inside of the existing pipe, which can extend the pipe’s life. That said, the right fit depends on the damage level and pipe condition. Hope this helps, Football Bros—any service should assess first.
