Re: Has anyone ever heard of New River homes?

I like you cannot find much on this plant....It seems to be a new builder located in far North Central MS...I is common for new plants to be able to effectively service homes far away...All I could find was an address and phone number..Before I bought from a new plant, I would call them and arrange ...

Re: Yay! Manufacturer rep fixed my door today!!Also question

Great...The factory rep is correct there should be NO moisture under the home..The dealer should have graded the ground so that water would run away..NOT under the home...Even if you do put a vapor barrier down..it will not work if the water flows under the home...You might want to post the name of ...

Re: Considering Purchase

Sounds nice...Sounds like you have looked at the Discovery Custom Homes...It is indeed a compliment that an experienced construction contractor would consider one for his personal home...Sounds like a great plan...If I were working with you..I would be suggesting you mortgage only about 10 acres wit...

Re: Thanks, now I'm afraid this is too much for me

You are far younger than me....We are not over the hill yet..I hope you are not...Wish I would see 51 again... Sorry that you have such a foolish dealer...I guess customer satisfaction means nothing to him/her...You did not mention if the blocking piers were on the outside wall on both sides of the ...

Re: please help first time owner adjust storm door

You are describing a home with a door out of square...This is more likely a set up problem than a door problem...There should be piers of blocks directly under both corners of the door holding the side wall straight in this area..To adjust the door check the level of these piers a little jacking and...

Re: how to choose manufacturers (brands)

housingThere are vast differences in manufactured homes...The codes are nothing but the minimum requirement...There are many builders out there who barely skirt the minimum...right on the edge of the rules..Others build well beyond the minimum with far better basic construction..far more features..e...
