CONGRATULATIONS..You made it..You will want to check with local building authorities in the area you want to move to..Most areas WILL require at least 450 square feet to start. Building codes will vary a lot about allowed added rooms. Check before you buy..

Re: CSA Sticker location
I am not sure what a CSA sticker is. Your home is too old to have a HUD label or HUD information plate. Prior to HUD most certification labels were fixed to the home next to the front door. Labels inside were usually on the back of a cabinet door or by the electric box.

Re: Approval for the community with bad credit
Have it your way... The park will know if there is back rent they are allowed to collect. You will be responsible for any rent the previous owner should have paid. Most state title offices will inform you of any liens properly recorded on the title. They would only have info on unpaid loans and local...

Re: Approval for the community with bad credit
If you can stand the $ 10,000 penalty and about $35,000 in federal taxes and maybe more in state taxes, the plan sounds good. I would talk to the management about the approval before you withdraw and be sure this is workable. Most would want to apply part of your 4 K payment as deposit to ensure pay...

Re: Information on Glen & Cecil Mobile Homes, Central FL
They will have been gone for decades. My observation is if it still exists after 44 years of use it was a pretty good home. This home was built long before the building code which means it will not meet the current wind zone requirements and cannot be moved within FL. I see this as a silly rule sinc...

They will be unavailable. Your licensed set crew will have to use your states generic set up rules. Any licensed crew will be fully familiar with code requirements.

Re: Free or abandon moblie homes
Todd, Glad to hear zoning is going to work. That and health department are usually the largest hurdles.Your friends with flat beds and 18 wheelers cannot move and set homes. Any homes WILL require a permit which MUST be gotten by a licensed set up crew. electrical WILL have to be done by licensed el...

Re: Building of a small unit
Great idea BUT you should first check with building authorities and zoning authorities in your daughters area. Very few localities would allow this kind of solution to a common problem. Very few areas will allow 2 dwelling units on the same property. Also very few zoning classifications would allow ...

Re: What were they thinking?
I am sorry, I read your post as if the home was a 72 model, now I realize you meant 72 feet long. But an 86 model IS 27 years old..It really does not change anything I said..You still looked at it and bought even though you knew it needed new bath floors and had a strange floor plan you did not like...
