Sounds to me like the home was built for a different retailer. Most likely the original retailer didn't take delivery of the house or went out of business and Redman had to go get it back. The answer is essentially, no. Tie downs have to have a tested load capacity Which is approximately 4800 pounds. Welded rebar may be strong enough, but it is untested. Most folks choose propane for heat and electric for water heater. Pine Grove is a good choice in your area. All Pine Grove homes are built to be energy star rated. And if you choose propane, make sure you order a high efficiency furnace in the house. (90%+)

Turtle homes is and always was a retailer, not a manufacturer, their homes were built by Superior Homes. In the Midwest or Northeast, Shamrock will make virtually any change needed for accessiblity.
